Under a tree
Some problems i had were that the face expression wasnt right for his posture and position. I actually like the lighting on his face compared to others the lighting on this one was the best.Actually the lighting could improve on this image because the sky is a bit washed out.

Under a tree
Actually the only problem i had was the composition technique i would use. This picture was better than the others because her face came out with a soft look to it. I think like the other photos in this spot, the sky could've been less washed out.

In the deer court
i think that the only problem was Luie's face because he kept making dorky faces. this is the best because luie has a good emotion and his eyes are deep. I could've improved it by zooming in a bit more.

The only problem i face with this one was finding a place to take it because she was the first model. This is the best photo because I like her smile alot and she looks relaxed. I dont think that i would change it.

in a bench
The only problem with this one was getting the correct timing and setting in order to get him in mid-air. This one is the best because the lighting is great, and the shot is crisp. The only thing i would change is that it looks like half of his hand is missing

under the tree
The only problem I had with this one was getting them to like the photo. For some reason girls don't like it when they see photographs of themselves. This one is the best because their smiles are great and they have a nice lighting. I don't think i would change anything on this.

I did not have that many  problems taking this pose. This one is the best because she looks relaxed, but at the same time she looks like she has power. The only thing i would change from this is that i would take everyone in the background out.

no problems really with this pose. this one is the best because Luie looks really prominent and its clear. The only thing i would change form this is the washed out sky.

in the bench
the only problem i had in taking this is trying to find a good angle she could be in. This shot is the best thanks to her, because she actually looks like she is texting. I think I should've zoomed out a bit more in order to have her completely in the shot.

on a tree
The problem with the shot was keeping Luie long enough on the tree in order to get a good shot. This is my best shot because of the creativity in it; he kind of looks like a frog. I dont think i would change anything from it.

Float

What i was trying to show is that Louie is a really good jumper. the technical challenge i faced was trying to get the shot just right. I struggled somewhat at getting the timing. artistally i didnt really know what to do so i made him jump over sergio.

The story i wanted for this photo was that i wanted Louie
to look like he was a ninja and going to kick sergio in the
back. Again for this photo, getting the timing right was
a challenge. Artistically i couldnt get anything else to do.

   

The story for this photo was that i wanted to make her look like she was floating in another planet with low gravity. The technical challenge was getting the the shadow just right. i used the shadow that came on the image and just tweeked it a bit. The artistic challenge was coming up with an amazing story but i ended up making the atmosphere have a greenish hue to it.

Photo Analysis: Portraits

This photo is of an old man that has glasses and is wearing
a hat. I see that the old man is leaning against a wall and is
wearing a striped green shirt. he is also smiling. He seems to
be looking at something behind the photographer, or is
watching someone as they arrive. This photo makes me
wander who he is waiting for, and why is he there.

What i see in the photo is a beautiful girl
that is in the park holding a jar that is on
fire. The are trees, a necklace,  a jar of
what appears to be mayo. I wonder why
the girl is holding a jar of mayo that is on
fire.

What i see in this photo is a guy with a really dorky smile.
it appears like he is in a park or a beach and he is not wearing
a shirt. He is also wearing a hat for some reason. It makes
me wonder why he's smiling in that way.

This photo is of a teddy bear, and there
isn't much to it except that it really cute.
It makes me wonder who would perform
surgery on it and why they are supposed
to take a photo of it.  

This is a photo of a girl. it appears
like she is in the beach, and she
appears to be asian. She also has
a very deep look to her eyes. I
if the person taking the photo is
her boyfriend.

Midterm Portfolio

Rule of thirds

What makes this a good rule of of thirds photo is that it
it shows the cup completely to the right which makes your
eyes follow up to it. This means that the focal point is the
cup. I would make this image stronger by zooming out a
bit more to show the top of the cup. 

 Fill the Frame

The reason this is a good fill the frame shot is because the
chicken is the main focal point and there is nothing else that
distracts from it. Also because the chicken is the most
prominent object in the image. to make this image better I
would have zoomed into it more.

Lines

The reason why this photo is a good line photo is because
the lines lead up to the spray can making it the main focal
point. to make this image better i would've edited it in
photoshop with the highpass filter.

Angles

The reason this is a good angle photo is because it shows
the spray can from the top going straight down. It shows
the can as the main focal point and it gives some contrast
between the colors.

Patterns

The reason this photo is the best pattern photo I have, is
because the  pattern is something that not everyone sees
every day. The pattern is from a tire tread and no one would
really like to see it. the only improvement i would do to it is
that i would have given it some color instead of having it all
black. 

Framing

The reason this photo is a good framing photo is because
the frame I used was actually my eyeglass frame. I think that
was creative, especially coming from me. The only i would
do to make this photo better would be that i would crop out
my friend Liz.

ABC's

This is a good ABC's photo because of the fact that the Q is
the hardest letter to find. The only thing i would to it is
probably put it off to the side to make it a rule of thirds
photo.

Shutter Speed

This is a good stop motion photo
because the leafs were captured
mid- flight. The only thing i would
have done different is that i would
add a levels adjustment.

Panning

This is a good pan  shot because the white car is moving and
the background  is blurry in way that it shows motion. The
only thing i would do differently  was that i would have tried
to make it less blurry, and i would have wanted more of the
car in the shot.

Depth of Field

The reason this image shows a good depth of field is because
the car is in crisp focus and the background is blurry. The
only thing i would change from it is that I would have put the
car somewhere else.

Wildcard

This is my wildcard photo because i really like music. The
style i used was depth of field. The only thing i would've
change would be to remove the light from it.

DOF Photo Corrected

What i did to this photo was darken the colors a bit.  I also
sharpened the edges and took some light off. The
adjustment improved my image because it was a bit
washed out, and it was somewhat blurry.I think this photo
needed an adjustment so i am ok with the fact of editing.

What i did to this photo was i deepened the colors and
sharpened the resolution a bit.It improved the image
because the watched seemed a bit old and the color was
washed out. I am ok with the act of editing this photo
because of the fact that it looks better.

What i did to this photo is that i darkened the hair a bit and
i removed some of the light from the back ground. This
improved my image because it gives the image a sense
of clarity. This photo needed to be edited so I'm ok
with it.

What i did to the image was i increased the darkness of the
background and i also sharpened the edges. I also
brightened the colors. These changes improved my image
because it seems to be more contrast to it. I'm glad i had the
opportunity  to edit this image.

Depth of Field

This photo has a shallow depth of field. The focal point if the image is the dragon fly. it demonstrates shallow depth of field because the subject is in focus and the background is blurry. The photographer probably wanted to keep the insect in focus.
